Resolution is set but is not being counted as Done in a version release

Hi,

The current workflow we have for Story is the status can be set to Not Required and in the post-function it is automatically updating the Resolution field value to "Not Required" (the issue will be striked-through in the board) but I noticed in Releases version where that Story is included that it is counted to In Progress and not Done.

Is it possible to include "Not Required" status/Resolution state to be considered Done in Releases version?

Not quite sure what you meant, is that set somewhere in Jira? let me know where I could check in case.
But would like to add "Not Required" status is considered done, the difference with "Done" status is the user would like for the Resolution state to be either "Not required" or "Duplicate", wherein for Done status the Resolution state is "Done".

To clarify, what happens is when an issue status is "Not Required" and Resolution value is either "Not required" or "Duplicate" it's showing as "In progress" issues in Releases version. Is it possible to make it included to "Done" if that is the case?

Hi

Thank you for your reply. I know this may sound confusing.

A jira status can be in one of three categories; “To Do”, “In Progress” and “Done”. A status with the name “Done” usually is in a Done category. You can tell by the color of the status (blue or green, depending on your instance). When you look at the “Not Required” status what category is it in? If you are not sure you can look at the color of the status or ask your jira admin.

if the ticket is still in a “in progress” category that could be the reason why your issue is not being included in the releases. Typically the last status of a workflow is Done, but without seeing your workflow i can’t be 100% sure.

Hope this helps.

Thank you for explaining as it is where my problem is. When I checked in Statuses the Not Required status category is "In Progress". Updating it to "Done" is the solution.
Thank you so much for your help.
