Salesforce integration in JIRA?

Hey all!

Is a Salesforce <> JIRA integration possible? I'm aware of a couple of the add-ons present in the marketplace: a Service Rocket product and a zAgile one.

What I need from this tool is:

  • ability to pull Salesforce data such as account information and associated details (dates, IDs, KPIs, etc) into a JIRA ticket as it is being created.
  • ideally this would 1) populate a dropdown menu and 2) fill in associated fields.

As an example, I open a JIRA ticket for troubleshooting, one of the fields I need to fill in is "Account Name", I would have the ability to select from a dropdown that pulls the possible account names from Salesforce. Once I create the ticket, it would auto-fill in fields in the JIRA ticket for Dates, IDs, and KPIs, which all reside in the selected account name's Salesforce Account Details page.

Is there a tool out there that can help me accomplish this? Thanks for the input and help.

The apps you found looks to me to be for syncing data between Salesforce and Jira from what I understand, for example you create a ticket in Salesforce it will automatically sync to Jira.

I believe from what you describe you are looking for something like nFeed Salesforce: Connector for Jira. Unfortunately this one is just for Jira Server, but it might be worth contacting the Valiantys and see if they are working on a cloud version.

Spoke with Valiantys recently at an AUG event and they are not hopeful that cloud is supported anytime soon.

Not sure what Atlassian plans are for the cloud in this space but it is really hindering my needs to be fulfilled from an integration standpoint.

Hi Michelle,

External Data for Jira provides a connector to Salesforce within Jira.

With said App you can populate custom field options or text fields in Jira with data from your Salesforce instance and keep them in sync.

A bit late as an answer, but maybe you are still interested in that use case.
