×Hi,
I would like to generate a teams message from a Jira Automation, and mention a user in this message like the @ notation used in Jira.
Unlike the @ notation is not supported, so i tried other notation like [~<userId>], or [~accountid:{{assignee.accountId}}] but this doesn't work and I always have a result like [~<userId] in the generated message.
Is there an issue to mention somebody from an automation ?
sounds like you'll want to use teams api using the action 'send web request' instead of send to teams. https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/graph/api/channel-post-messages?view=graph-rest-beta&tabs=http
Hi @Aymeric Nave -- Welcome to the Atlassian Community!
To confirm, do you want to mention a user in Microsoft Teams from a Jira automation rule?
If so, that is not yet possible, as noted in this other question's post: https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-Software-questions/How-to-mention-a-user-when-using-Send-Microsoft-Teams-message/qaq-p/1955314
Kind regards,
Bill

Hi Bill
Any idea on when this functionality will be available? I have multiple webhooks into MS Teams providing notifications across multiple teams and this would be a really handy feature.

Hi @Dean Leaso
No, I do not; I'm just a Jira user...
I did find these two open suggestions to add the feature, and you can vote for/watch at least one of them to see any progress:
Kind regards,
Bill
