Service Desk - Custom Nested/Sub Fields

MCjiraLearner June 11, 2019

Hi,

I'm going to describe how I want the customer portal to display.

I want a user to select yes/no on a field and if the user selects yes, then a single line text box appears for the customer to enter a numeric value, If the customer selects no, then I want nothing to appear. Any thoughts on how this can be done? I'm using Jira cloud, thank you.

Jira Cloud does not support this, nor does it support apps that could do this either.  I'm afraid there is no way to do it (yet)

Thanks for the reply. I thought that maybe Extension for Jira Service Desk or ProForma: Forms & Custom Fields for Jira could do it with their Dynamic Fields option? I saw on their pages that the apps work for cloud. Am I misunderstanding what they are offering?

Hi @MCjiraLearner

Lachlan from the ProForma team here. This is definitely something that can be done using ProForm - and very easily as well. We support dynamic fields, which can be shown or hidden based on check box selections. We also support number field types for your scenario as well.

If you'd like to read more about our dynamic fields, we have it documented here

Then, if you're ready to try us out, you can evaluate for free using ProForma Lite

Regards,

Lachlan

@Lachlan

I am clearly jumping on to this thread very late but by chance is something wrong with Proforma and Proforma lite that you are aware of? Proforma Lite wont install on cloud and Proforma doesn't load after its installed....
