Setting permissions for JIRA service desk

Hi team,

Right now, there are two types of people who can raise requests through our JSD portal:

  • Teacher
  • Students

Teacher raises requests and student raises requests simultaneously. The jira agents (WE) then link specific student requests with teachers. So there is linking of teacher type issues with student type issues.

My requirement: I want teachers to see all their raised requests as well as those student requests which are linked to them.

So on portal- I want something like: My requests      Student requests

Is that possible? Any help is appreciated.

Thanks a ton

JSD Help Center currently only have these filters available to a user:

  • Approvals - a request submitted by another person that they are an approver on.

  • My requests - a request submitted by that person.

  • All requests - both of the above, as well as a request submitted by another person that they’ve been added to as a request participant.

My suggestion here is to add the Teacher as a "Request Participant" to each relevant student ticket. I suggest you set up a "notification automation" or equivalent for when that happens to further highlight to the teacher that a student has created a ticket relevant for them to watch.

This seems really promising @Robert Levelind . I'll test this and reply back to you.

Thanks again for putting your time
