Sprint Value in two different Scrum Boards (Same project)

DEJU ALIN MADALIN February 1, 2022

Hello,

I'm facing with the following situation:

I have a sprint value called "A Sprint" (future Sprint).

In the Scrum board where the sprint was created all the issues are added to the future Sprint (A Sprint).

In the second Scrum Board, all the issues are added automatically in backlog (and I need to be assigned to the same sprint "A Sprint").

Could you please let me know how I can "set" the second board in order to have it directly in the future sprint and not in backlog? (The future sprint is also present in the second Scrum Board).

Thank you!

Best regards,

Alin

Hi @DEJU ALIN MADALIN ,

You can not associate single issue to the 2 different sprint even though sprint has same name (A Sprint) in the different board.

Are you using same filter for both the board? are you seeing same issue in the backlog which you already place in sprint of first board?

Thanks,
Sachin

Hello @Sachin Dhamale , Thank you for your answer,

I'm not associate the same issue for 2 different sprints.

The use case is that I have the same sprint for 2 different Scrum Boars in the same Project. And for the first board the issues are assigned correctly to the "Future Sprint" (Sprint A).

But for the second board (with almost the same issues) issues that are available in the first Scrum Board in future Sprint A, are added in Backlog (for the second Board).

One mention, boards contains different filters and this can be the "problem".

Best regards, Alin

@DEJU ALIN MADALIN  - are you using server version or cloud version?

@DEJU ALIN MADALIN  Thanks for the information

The backlog issues of board is based on the filter which you configured for your respected board.

If you can see same sprint under 2 boards that means you are using same filter please confirm once.

If the issues which are already link with one sprint then those issue should not be visible in the backlog section for other board. I have tried this and i am not seeing already map issues in the backlog. Please see the screenshot.

Perform the indexing once for the project and check.
