Sprint shows on timeline in plan for Jira cloud

Hi community,

I'm trying to use plan to track stories from different sprint in the plan.

Firstly, issue hierarchy is initiative--> Epic --> story. Initiative and Epic are in the same project. But stories are in another project. I use a JQL "

issue in portfolioChildIssuesOf("PPMD-2")

" where PPMD-2 is my initiative as a filter to create a scrum board. And I create a plan based on this scrum board. In the view setting, I choose to group issues by sprint. My goal is to show sprints on the timeline. But I don't know why it's not working.

Below is the screenshot.

Hi @Yi Meng ,

It only works if you have team assigned in issues and the team is added in plan

team in plan set to:

issue source = board should be a scrum

planning style = Scrum.

Then view settings - group by sprint - check show capacity on timeline

Thanks @Dexter de Vera

It works when I change view setting to group by team and check 'show capacity in timeline'.

I think it would be nice if Atlassian can make it possible to show sprints on timeline without team assigned to stories.

Thanks for your help.
