Switch from zero downtime upgrade to regular upgrade

Hi Team, I Just found out that we cannot do Zero downtime upgrade from 7.9.2 version to 8.4.1. But since I already did the upgrade in one node (it went fine, but service did not start at the end). Can I now switch to the regular upgrade (downtime upgrade) now? without restoring to the old version in the upgraded node?

ummm - you should have checked documents before doing this upgrade :-)

Please check the below link for further assistance ;

What errors do you see in your first node after upgrade ?

It would be better to resolve that .

The whole point of having a data center and nodes is to have a seamless upgrade and " always " available situation.

If this is not achieved - no point in having a DCenter.

It says the below,

Your node with Jira version 8.4.1 will not start up with version 7.9.2 because Jira does not support zero downtime upgrades between major releases.
