Ticket Logging for Walk Up's

Hi,

We're currently in the process of moving to Jira Service Management.

In the process of all this we're wanting to Install a walkup panel on like an iPad for example that will allow users to log tickets on the iPad without the needing of physically walking up to our desks.

Is this possible with in JSM and any suggestions on how we set this up and the hardware we use for it?

Hi @Adam Brown , sure you can do this simply by putting the iPad in place and set the browser window to your portal URL. You might have IT restrict navigation so the iPad remains on the one address. The issue will be to educate the users to logout after submitting a ticket so that the next customer doesn't open a ticket using the previous customer's ID.

BTW, you can set up kiosk mode on your iPad , referred to as Guided access. Just google iPad kiosk or guided access.

Do you know if it's possible for it to be signed in as like a service account and then allow the users to select their name from like an imported drop down list?

Oh, and one other variation would be to setup your own company web page and use the JSM Widget channel option. This would allow the customer to open a ticket without having to log in simply by using their email. While there are limitations of this option it might be best for setting up a kiosk.

Look at the Widget solution as it most closely resembles your requirements.
