Hello Team,
We implementing the new project configuration in JIRA and our requirement is;
that, we need to restrict log work functionality on the project basis for same Issue Type.
For example:
we have C issue type and we can provide log work functionality for project X and for the same Issue Type we don't want to provide log work functionality for project Y.
Please look in to below Scenarios which we have provided for your reference;
Scenario 1:
Issue Type A,B,C and Project X
Condition: able to log work against Issue Type A,B and C
Scenario 2:
Issue Type A,B,C and Project Y
Condition: able to log work against Issue Type A,B not for C
Could you please let us know Is it possible to configure the project as per our requirement? If yes, then how to configure the project?
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Dnyaneshwar Borase
JIRA does not have permissions based on issue type. Permissions are applied at the Project Level.
You can create a permission scheme where you can restrict/allow the permission for loq work. But it will be applied to all issue types in your project. You can not pick and choose issue type for applying permission.
