Transition Bug issue-type based on Verification issue-type.

Using Workflow #1 (W1), when a bug ticket (B1) is transitioned from "In Progress" to "Fixed", an issue-type called "verification" (V1) is created with a resolution of either "Pass" or "Fail" in workflow #2 (w2). If V1 is moved to "Failed" I want B1 to automatically transition to Open. If V1 is moved to "Pass" I want B1 to automatically transition to Done. Is this possible?

Hello @DSell

Are you using Jira Server or Jira Data Center? What version of the product are you using?

Are you a project admin or a Jira Admin?

How do you know that B1 and V1 are related to each other?

Can a Bug have more than one associated Verification issue?

Hi Trudy,

I am a Jira Admin, and we are using Server. We will be migrating to cloud next year.

The Bug should only have one verification issue. There will be a link created between B1 and V1.

Thank you

What version (i.e. 7.x, 8.x) of the product are you using?

Do you have the Automation for Jira plugin installed?

Can you confirm you are using Server vs. Data Center?

Is the link that you create between the bug and verification issues using a unique link type? Are these issues in the same project or a different project?
