Hi,

I'm unable to create a new board for any existing projects, it keep showing

  • You do not have permission to share. All shares are invalid.
  • The user 'username' does not have permission to share. The owner has not been changed.

I'm already in administrator role for our jira cloud account and project lead for the project.

HI @Chris Sim

Welcome to the community!

I think you don't have  Create share Object permission.

please have a look at the below KB.

https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirakb/when-creating-a-jira-software-board-the-error-you-do-not-have-permission-to-share-all-shares-are-invalid-is-displayed-779160905.html

Please check whether this information is still accurate. I cannot find "Create Shared Object" anywhere within the dashboard.

@Chris Sim I'm on Jira cloud and I can't find a Create Shared Object permission either.

If anyone has any pointers that would be great. Thanks!

Hello, I am having the same problem.
what I did was:
1. created a new scrum board

2. added a new field to stories

3. started the first sprint

4. on the next day now one was able to see the boards or access anything

Hi @Tom Auger @Ramystucampbell,

If you have Jira administrator access, then please check which group you are part of from user management.

Once you get the group name, then System > Global permission

Go to bottom of the page and select the permissions (Create shared object) and group(you are part of).

This will make sure the user part of that group will able to create Shared objects like board.

If you do not have Jira admin access, then please share this info with your Jira admin.

Cheers.

Hi, Everyone

I'm an Administrator on a JIRA Cloud.

I faced the same issue, but unfortunately I cannot find the (Create shared object) even following instructions you mentioned above.

Can you please help on this ?

Thank you

Best regards

Hi @Dhouha Kallali ,

On Cloud I checked it should be Share dashboards and filters permission.

Please try it.

Regards

Atul
