Hello.
I want to update a Jira Server which I have installed a few months ago.
In that Jira Server I have already created a lot of stuff (projects, issues, plugins,...) which I'd like to keep.
I am using MS SQL Server 2014.
In order to update my jira server into a more recent version (7.10.0), what procedure do you recommend?
Hello,
Kindly read this article:

Hello.
I've looking at that article.
I have JIRA Core 7.3.9 and Jira Service Desk v3.5.3.
I'd like to move to version 7.10.0.
So I think I can check this with the "Managing zero downtime upgrades" upgrade process. Can you confirm this please?

Can you tell me where can I find "JIra Upgrade Mode"? I tried in Jira -> Settings -> Applications > JIRA upgrades. But I cannot find it (as It's stated in the documentation).

Where did you find mentions about Jira upgrade mode. There is no such mode in Jira.

Hello.
If you check the last link I posted here...

In section 1. "Put Jira into updrage mod". Then when it's described what to do, you have:
1. Navigate to settings > Applications > Jira Upgrades (I cannot find Jira Upgrades).
2. Click Jira into Upgrade mode. (I cannot find this).
Thanks.

You will only find this in Data Centre installations when you have at least two nodes clustered together correctly.

You can do the zero downtime upgrade only if you have Jira Data Center.

I prefer to create a new server and then install everything there. Then to change dns names and work with the new server. If anything goes wrong, you can always turn off the new server and turn on the old one.

It looks like a good strategy.
Are you able to import everything into the new server? (Data, Request Types, Issues, Attachments, Plugins in their data, HTTPS configurations, ....).
