Use of REST API in Data Center

Through my Jira Server instance, we have an app called Jira Rest API Browser. Do we need that same app installed onto our Data Center instance to allow for the use of the Jira API by our users?  With what I see, the app is not supported for Data Center.  Please advise.

No you don't need that app to consume end points.
