Votes in Sidebar or pop-up

I'm trying to make it easier to vote for issues on one of our boards. I'd like to add the "Vote" control to the sidebar or pop-up details for an issue that come up when you select one of the cards on the board. 

When I go to the Issue Details configuration I would expect to see Votes in the list of fields, but its not there. (see below) To avoid any terminology issues this is the sidebar that I am trying to add Votes to.

Hi Alex,

I can see that you are currently viewing the issue on the new Jira issue view. The Vote and Watchers fields are not available on the new issue view at this moment.

In order to use those functions, you will have to open the issue in the full issue view and click on See the old view temporary or you can switch to the old issue view by disable the feature via https://<instance>.atlassian.net/ViewPersonalSettings.jspa.
