I am new to creating projects, but have created the base project and EPICS. When I add stories, through the + button, there is now way of stating what EPIC is it part of.
After creating the story I can add the EPIC through going to the back log clicking on the three dots to the right of the story and then selecting add epic. But I would have thought I should be able to do this at time of creation?
However, if I create the story through Board, selecting the EPIC then Create Issue the story gets created and assigned to the EPIC.
I have tried selecting the EPIC, then the three dots in the top right corner, configure and create new field BUT the field is not present in the list to select/add.

Hope this helps!

You need to simply add Epic Link to the create and/or edit screens. On cloud when viewing the story select the admin button at top and add field. If you don’t see that try project settings, screens, select the screens for stories and edit then click the link for screen and add Epic link and save.

Thanks, that is what I thought BUT I do not see that option (hopefully it is not a plug in)! How do I get it to become a field to add?
