how to perform regression test xray

We are searching the best practice to create regression test , i see that someone use test set , but really i don not understand that , could someone provide me some explanation (exaample ) please ?

I see that but here they talking about regression of version , it's very expensive to retest all tests every versions , 

I talk about one added feature , how can i make sure that doesnt impact ST , i need best practise .
