I use {{issue.description.html}} in an automation rule to send an email while it shows empty. Is it because this function doesn't work in team-managed project?

Hi @Olive Sun

Adding to John's answer...

What markup / formatting features are you using in your description field?  Does it all not convert or does only some of it not convert?

There is an open defect about table formatting not working correctly: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/AUTO-409

If that is the case, some suggested work-arounds (from the comments of that defect) are:

  • use the replace() function to help the conversion a bit
  • disable the "Convert line breaks to HTML line breaks" option under "More options" for the send email action

Kind regards,
Bill
