×Hi all,
is parallel sprints next-gen board not available?
+1 for badly needing parallel sprints in next-gen projects
It's late March 2020. Years since this ticket was opened. This feature would be really useful. Hoping it's getting implemented soon.

An update would be appreciated. The feature, as of today, has 155 votes. Where does it fall in priority?

Having parallel sprints in the Next-gen boards would be really helpful for us. Please implement this feature :)

Any update on this one, as it is really unusual that this is not already added?

Hello,
Parallel sprints help in scheduling our work so that we can plan future tasks and place them in the next sprint. Is there a work around for this requirement in the NextGen project for now?
Best,
Nikhil

Hello Nikhil,
Currently, there is no workaround.
As we can see on Jira SW Roadmap, parallel sprints are not supported for now.

Angélica

Hey Nikhil, you can still create as many sprints as you want in advance. You can only have one ACTIVE sprint though. I agree though, this is useless. Its pretty common in the last day or so of a sprint that some team members want to start working on new sprint work.............

Next gen-project are missing so many features (parallel sprints ,workflows). Much easier but not "jira"...

Hi Anatoly,
Currently, Parallel Sprints are only available for the classic Scrum project template.
You can find more information on the documentation below:
- Using parallel sprints
- Working with next-gen Software projects
If you have any other question, please let us know.

Angélica

Will you be supporting parallel sprints for next-gen boards?
What are the work arounds?

Hi Rob,
I haven't found any information if Parallel sprints will be available on next-gen projects and we don't have feature requests suggesting this.
The workaround, for now, is to use the classic Scrum and Kanban projects.

Angélica

Well, the setting is still there for next gen boards, so my guess this is a bug, not a feature)
Quite sure you just forgot about this feature. Also I'm quite sure you can see how many of your users use this feature.

Anatoly

this is a major bummer, which is pretty much making next-gen of little use to our team. Too bad 'cause I liked the UI simplicity...

Absolutely agree. Parallel sprints is a must feature for our team.
Unfortunately, that's a deal-breaker for using the next-gen projects.
Dear@Angélica Luz please fix this bug and enable parallel sprints.
Best,
xuf
