Hi @SARAVANAKUMAR ,

Was there a value in the field before the screen came up?

Maybe that's what you see because someone else already picked up a different value? (or this is happens all the time?)

Hi @SARAVANAKUMAR

In the example above you took screen shot.

Can you tell me what is the creation date of the issue?

I'm asking beacuse:
set a customfield with default value, set's the value already in the creation step.

You marked the check box "Use the current time and date as the default"
So when the issue created (in your exmplae probably Feb 27), the custom field automatically got the default value of current time as you marked "Use the current time and date as the default".

And that is why, by the time you get to "reopen screen", it always have a value with past date.

Right now GMT-6 means 7:33 AM (that's what you set in Jira)
Your desktop shows 6:51 PM (which is GMT +5:30??)

So i'm confused =/

Which one is your correct time zone (regardless Jira)?

But even if we fixed the time zone issue.
Still your customfield will always show you wrong date.
You customfield is always set with the date of the issue creation, that is why when your "reopen" screen pop-up, it has a value (and probably always wrong)

my time zone (GMT+5.30)

but i fixed default time zone Chicago(GMT-6:00) in JIRA

i want to display default time in custom fields  as  Chicago(GMT-6:00) time format but display wrongly

please suggest any other way to display correct time format in custom fields

even i changed timezone to (GMT+5.30) that also not reflect in my issue list and custom fields
