Sprints on issues (JIRA OnDemand)

Steve Thompson May 5, 2014

Is it possible to always show the sprint field on the main issue screen (http://ourdomain.atlassian.net/browse/BUG-568) so it can be added to a sprint directly from there? Currently we are being forced to press the edit button to add the sprint via the edit dialog. The issue doesn't show up in JIRA Agile until it's added to a sprint with the edit button, but the filter isset to show all issues in the project.

This workflow doesn't seem intuitive so I'm not sure if there's a better way or if this is really the correct way.

The general answer is no. The really correct way is to use the Scrum board to move issues into the sprint.

Why aren't issues showing up in agile until a sprint is added from the view or edit issue screen? The sprint filter is just a project (project = X) so I can't figure out any reason they aren't showing up.
