Story is blocked by vendor (awaiting reply from vendor)

Hello I am new to Jira.

I have question. What is recommended to do if some story in ongoing sprint is blocked by for example vendor respond and is expected that respond time will be longer than end of current sprint ?

How should be story treated ? Should it be blocked or removed from sprint ?

Our team don't need to use JIRA Aglile because we are not software developers.

How to transfer unfinished story to new sprint without JIRA Aglie feature?

It should not be completed I suppose, which would lead to this story being transferred to the next Sprint once the actual active Sprint is closed.

This will happen automatically btw, as it's a default JIRA Agile feature.

I'm not really sure, however, if it would be interesting to have a Story in a Sprint that needs a response from the vendor.
