Unable to export to Excel with Big Gantt

We are using the trial of Big Gantt and everything seems to be working great except we cannot export to Excel. The error message says that "Excel found unreadable content in 'gantt-export.xlsx'. Is this a bug in the add-on or do I need to change a setting?
