Using Jira Cloud, how can I download attachments without previewing them first?

With some files, the preview is slowing down the process to download the attachment. This will cause the browser to crash. What is the file size limit for the preview feature and can I bypass the preview and download directly?

If browsers are crashing, that's not expected behavior and so you should raise a support ticket with atlassian support to get it on their radar to fix.  

With that said, if you need to get to the attachment as a workaround in the meantime, either try with a different browser or use the following steps via the old issue view:

1. Open the issue in its own window

2. Click the top right ellipsis

3. Select "See the old view".  The issue will reload into the old Jira issue view

4. Scroll down to the attachments section of the issue

5. Select the ellipsis in the top right of the Attachments Section and select "Download All"

Mate, you saved my day. Same issue here - opening a 50 MB log makes browser unusable.
