What is the best way to have two sprint teams working off the same backlog?

I set up the same filter because I they really are working on the same projects, however I didn't expect the velocity or other reports to share info from both teams. Is this the best way to set up a new board or should I be doing something differently?

You could try using Parallel Sprints as well.

Both were good suggestions. The parallel sprints was exactly what I needed and had trouble finding. Thanks again to both of you.

You could use a different filter on each board, which only includes issues assigned to team members + all unassigned issues (for sprint planning). That way, the reports should give details as expected.
