Hello All,

We would like to manage project access configuration. For some projects we could do it using Project Settings->Access menu. However for some projects we could not display the same menu. Can anybody help me? Thank you.

Hi,

is one of the projects a team-managed project and the other one a company-managed project?

These are different project types and share different project settings.

Indeed there are differences. I think that you may be comparing Team managed project to Company managed project. CMP does not use "access" currently. Basically the two are quite different in many ways.

you will also see differences between project types: JSW, JWM, JSM.

so to answer your question of why they are different... they were implemented differently to meet the needs of customers and vision of developers.

Hello,

How can I change the type of an existing project? Is it possible?

You can't change the project type/template. What you can do is to setup a new project and move all issue to the new project. Depending on how complex your current project is will influence the effort. I recommend moving a few sample issues over initially to test out the process then use bulk change.
