This question is in reference to Atlassian Documentation: Customizing cards
When adding the description field to the card and then printing it, the text of the description runs off to the side of the card instead of being wraped around to the next line. Is this a bug or is it working as specified? Sure looks like a bug.
please fix this, its annoying

There's a workaround. Right click the text that doesn't fit on the card, and choose "Inspect element", or "Inspect" depending on your browser.
This opens a console, look for the window/tab that says "Rules" or "Styles" and find one that ends with ".ghx-card-xfield-value", you have to scroll down a bit.
There, uncheck the line that says "white-space: nowrap;". All the description text is in the card now.

Any news about this bug? I'm not eager to pay for plugin to have features which should be obvious.

Same problem with 7.2.4 - clearly a bug.

We have this problem in JIRA software server 7.3. too and it will be very helpful if the description does not run off to the side of the cards.
Looks really like a bug.

This is still broken more than a year after being reported????

STILL broken. Perhaps the Jira team needs to use it's own tool and set a high-priority work item? Or any item? Yeah, it's not rocket science but Atlassian needs to understand HTML and CSS for this to work. Clearly they're ignoring the knowledge base and issues we raise.
Here's a hint: add "word-wrap: break-word;" to your css.

Any update on this? It cannot be rocket science to fix and it's very annoying. This is one of the reasons why not all my teams is using Jira

Hi Michael,
I assume that you've probably managed to solve this problem already, but if not perhaps you'd like to try Agile Cards for JIRA?
Our add-on allows users to design their card layout flexibly, providing full control over exactly which fields from the original issue (also where and in what order) appear on the final printouts.
Hope this helps.
