Why SLA and Automation are not available in Kanban Board

RAJENDHRAN R April 24, 2019

As we know, In Service desk (Project Template: Service desk)- SLA and Automation tabs are available, so we used to write JQL queries for SLA and created some automation rule for escalation, notification, etc..

I want to implement the same thing in kanban board (Project Template: Software)

unable to find the SLA and Automation tabs in Kanban board.

Kindly help me out.

Thanks in advance.

Hi RAJENDHRAN,

Automation and SLA are features available only for Jira Service Desk the same as Boards are only available for Jira Software projects.
Other products don't have such functionality and the only way to get it is by using add-ons. For automation, you can use Automation for Jira, but for SLA there is an add-on available only for Server, which you can contact their support to check if they will develop an option for Cloud as well.

Angélica

Hi @RAJENDHRAN R

May I suggest SLA Time and Report - with this add-on you can track your SLAs for issues in Jira Cloud.

You can set SLA timer value and statuses when countdown should be turned on/off according to your issues workflow, projects, and priorities. Also, you can generate SLA reports based on filters, export this data as XLSX or CSV file and process the extracted information.

There are more features to explore by using this add-on.

Hope, SLA Time and Report will improve your performance in Jira Cloud.

Best regards,
Julia
