Just a heads up: On March 24, 2025, starting at 4:30pm CDT / 21:30 UTC, the site will be undergoing scheduled maintenance for a few hours. During this time, the site might be unavailable for a short while. Thanks for your patience.
×I have found that when setting up a Database Information Field with Database Child Information fields the Information Field show up in Dashboard Gadgets, such as pie charts, heat maps, and two dimensional tables. On the other hand the Child fields just do not. I have tried a few things to make it work without any luck.
Any ideas? My next bet would be to make each field a stand alone Database Information Field which would work but not be as elegant and would increase the number of SQL statements.
Hi James,
We have tried it and the DB child is available in 2 dimensional gadgets. Have you tried the exact text searcher for it? Are you using the latest DBCF version? Maybe there was a bug a while ago and we fixed it in the latest versions. If it still doesn't work, I don't think we can do much, if there is a bug, it's on the gadget's side. We will try to reproduce it, maybe there is something specific that is blocking the CF in the gadgets configuration.
Regards,
Silviu
Thanks Silviu! I did try the exact text searcher...and the none too. I re-indexed each time the the problem hangs around. I'll see if it duplicates in a new dev environment and open a bug if easy to reproduce.
