Report Stories Done Percentage based on Velocity Points

Hi there,

I have a filter that returns me all stories done, in absolute numbers, from all products for Q2. I have the below Pie Chart gadget that present me the percentage of those stories in absolute numbers.

I tried with Workload Pie Chart gadget to present this filter percentage based on velocity points but i got this error "An internal server error occurred when requesting resource". Is there another way to have the percentage of the stories based on velocity points?

Thanks in advance!

Hi @Vasilis Gennaris

It appears that this is a bug in that particular chart.  We are tracking this defect in https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRACLOUD-67143 please watch this issue and vote on this to help our development team prioritize fixes like this one.

The Workload pie chart is specifically set to report on one of the following fields

  • time Spent
  • Original estimate
  • Current Estimate

You have to pick one of these.  If your JQL filter being used here only returns issues that don't have any value for the option you selected here, you can see this same kind of internal error.   For your issues are you using story points or time estimates/time spent?

I am wondering if perhaps the use of story points instead of time estimates could be a factor in this gadget not working as expected.   I realize the Velocity chart isn't something to be displayed on the dashboard, but perhaps this Agile report could be used to find the information you are looking for here.
