I have a Kanban board which manages issues moving through an approval process.
I want to restrict the ability to change the status of issues on the board to a subset of the list of users in the project.
I cannot apply the restriction to all of the Jira project as other boards and teams use the same Jira project.
Instead i want to use an automation rule based on the issue type and label meeting a condition and reverting the issue to it's previous state should anyone who is not in the approved list of users try to transition an issue.
Is this possible? Help and advice appreciated.
Hello @RIchard Gwatkin instead of using the automation rule to restrict certain users to transition the issues, you can use the Transition issues permission in your project - just make sure that the users you do not want to transition the issues are not part of the project roles that you have defined to have this permission.
