Return no results by default in issue navigator?

This question is in reference to Atlassian Documentation: Configuring the default issue navigator

I noticed that, by default, whenever I open the JIRA Issues Search (Issues >> Search for Issues), JIRA always returns all the Issues of the system (400K+) and that seems to bring some load on the server.

Do you know if there is a way to display No Results at all, by default? Or at least, only return a subset of issues?

Thx!

This is a copy-paste of Ismael Bandjy's question at https://confluence.atlassian.com/jira/configuring-the-default-issue-navigator-185729599.html, but I notice it wasn't answered and I'm wondering the same thing!!

Try to open "Current search" istead of "Search for issues"
