I am trying to run the Jira DataCenter container on the HTTPS port. I have tried following this guide but it does not work for me. I am having a signed certificate from a CA authority.

Whenever I perform Step 2 from the mentioned link and restart my Jira instance, it overwrites my file and the file is again like it was before editing. How do I overcome this issue? or the guide is not for Jira DataCenter?

Thanks a lot

Hi @Jamshaid ,

Our Docker images generate server.xml from a template on startup, to allow us to configure app server parameters via environment variables (the common method of configuring Docker containers).

If you want to customise server.xml outside of the options documented on our Docker Hub readme, you can make your changes to `/opt/atlassian/etc/server.xml.j2`

These changes will be used to generate the server.xml used by the container.

Cheers,

Dave
