Hi team,
There is a software project 5 boards into it.
The main, the sprints, the product, the epic, and the support
Is there the option to have different layout (show custom fields) for the issue type only in the sprints board?
Thanks in advance
Hello @Michail Kotantakis
Are you talking about the issue details view that you see when you open an issue in a new tab?
Or are you talking about the quick issue view that can appear to the right side of the Backlog or Board view, when you click on an individual issue?
Or are you talking about adding some fields to the display of the cards directly in the backlog and board views?
Thanks for your input on this.
I am speaking for the view/edit of an issue
This is the particular case:
I have added 5 custom fields in the issue type Task layout.
I have the 5 boards that i mentioned, and i am looking if there is any way that these 5 custom fields that have been added to the issue type layout , can be viewable only in the sprints board view/edit issue
I know one way to put them as hidden and show up only when they have a value. This is a quick one without too much of a hassle; i think though that with this way they go only in the context side and not in the descrption side, and still they are there.
I do not know if i could go with an additional tab in the issue view/edit and somehow have ti hidden for other boards while visible for sprints board???
Thanks for any suggestions

Issues are not "in" boards. Boards are based on filters, so an issue can be visible through multiple boards simultaneously. When you are viewing/editing an issue there is no specific link between that view/edit screen and a board from which you may have opened that screen. So there is no method to use the board currently being viewed as a way to change what is visible in the issue view/edit screen.
What are the filters that you use in your boards to select issues?
You could potentially hide certain fields from the view/edit screen based on the value in another field. So, for instance, if you are using the Team field to identify an owning Team for the issue, and then using the Team field in the board filters to select the issues to include, that might be a method to achieve your requirement.
However, that would require a third party app such as Adaptavist's Behaviours - Scriptrunner for Jira Cloud.
