ScriptRunner - Restrict access to some tickets

Bertrand Delaitre October 25, 2022

We want to have a specific custom field "Extended visibility" with two values: "Open" and "Restricted".

Our need is the following for one project:

  • If the value of the field is "Open" then anyone should be able to access the issue
  • If the value is "Restricted", then only the reporter, the assignee, a custom field "Responsible" and a specific group ("SAI") are allowed to see the issue

Is there a way to do this using ScriptRunner?

Hi @Bertrand Delaitre

Why are you not using Security level?

Thanks for your suggestion. It's not possible cause the security level is not well managed in our database instance. We have more than 200 projects now and scurity level has been used by some project to identify which issues should be visible in reports for customer.

So, it's not possible to use Security Level...
