Setting up a filter subscription for Active Directory users

Hi,

I've created the following filter and have setup a subscription on behalf of the 'approval group', which contains users pulled from an Active Directory. But the email does not appear to be sent to the relevant active directory group users (ie. pending approvers). 

project = 10703 AND status in ("General Approval", "Finance Approval", "CFO Approval", "CEO Approval") AND Approvals = myPending()

Can you not set up subscriptions using Active Directory groups?
