Show display name in webhook content

We utilize Automation for Jira rather extensively, primarily as a tool to alert various teams/users in Slack of tickets that matter to them when they have been created/moved/updated.  The Slack messages often include the description or last comment.

With the recent GDPR changes for cloud, any @mentions that are used now appear as the accountid within Slack.  We recently found the jsonEncode property which took care of translating certain characters that were causing errors in the automation... is there any such thing for translating accountid's back into display names? Especially when embedded within comments?  The stock Jira notifications are able to do this - hoping there's a solution being developed, or maybe it already exists but I haven't found it yet?

Try reaching out to plugin vendor code barrel. They may have some kind of workaround. It's hard to capture the user in the mentions because it's not a field

Thank you.  I had done just that and they replied this am that the fix is due for shipment in the coming days.

The problem right now is that basically when you access a text field or comment, you get back Jira's wiki markup, which has user mentions in the weird accountId format that you mentioned.

When we ship the above, you'll be able to reference a field's text or html rendered representation. So you'll be able to reference comment.body.text or comment.body.html (or issue.description.html etc) in your Slack message, which will then show the user's display name instead of the account id reference.
