Show sub-tasks on next-gen project board?

We are using the next-gen project Board view with swimlanes by epic. Tasks appear on the board as would be expected, but sub-tasks do not appear. How can we also display sub-tasks on a next-gen project board, with swimlanes grouped by epic?

As far as I know, you can only see them when view group by subtask. At the same time, you can use Epic quickly filter.
