Shutting down LDAP server in future

Jeem Tan February 19, 2020

Hi,

Currently our Jira user account comes from a old LDAP server. We are planning to shutdown LDAP and move to something else.

Once our LDAP server is down, can User still able to login to JIRA using their previous LDAP user account and password?

If we were to migrate to using AD, if the username is identical, can JIRA link back the AD user account to all the cases that was created by that user?

From what I know whenever there is a LDAP server sync, especially for new user, the info is actually copied from ldap server to the JIRA default database.
