Stop editing before a field is set by integration (TFS4JIRA)

Hi all,

We are using the TFS4JIRA integration tool between JIRA and TFS.

This is the most common workflow:

• Issue is created in Jira.
• Issue is then synchronized to TFS by the TFS4JIRA tool. The custom field "TFS Workitem" is populated in Jira with the TFS reference.

In some cases the users are editing the issue immediatly after creating the issue before the TFS Workitem is set by the integration. The TFS Workitem will be set in the background while the editing is on-going by the integration. When the user saves the TFS Workitem will be blanked out (as it is empty in the editing page) and a new TFS Workitem will be created. This means we will have duplicates in TFS.

Is it some way to stop this behaviour? 

e.g. 

• Only allow the "TFS Workitem" field to be updated by the integration tool.
• Only allow editing of the issue once TFS Workitem is available.

We need to TFS Workitem to be visible on the issue.

We have the Scriptrunner plugin installed if that helps us.
