Question: How do I achieve seeing the story points on user stories and time-based estimates on the spike when in the sprint board view?
Context
Story A in our active sprint does not show its story points on the card in the sprint board view. There are story points assigned to this story + subtasks w/ hours. Original estimate field = 0m.
What's strange is that story B in the same column (it also has story points + subtasks w/ hours, Original estimate field = 0m), shows the points in the sprint board view.
Additionally, I can see the Spikes w/ their time estimates on the board just fine.
When I look at the Sprint backlog view, the not started/in progress/completed point summary is correct - so nothing is missing.
When I turn off time tracking (in board configuration) I can see the story points on story A, but all of the time estimates on the Spikes go away.
I would like to see story points on stories and time based estimates on spikes in the active sprint board view.
Hello @Kendra Gaunt
Welcome to the Atlassian community.
You cannot configure the board to display different estimation options per issue type.
If you have the Estimation statistic set to Story and you have Time Tracking turned on, then what you see in the card is the Remaining Estimate for cards that have an Original Estimate.
In the above image my mouse is hovering over the "10m" bubble in the lower right corner.
If you want to see both Story Points and Original Estimate you can add those to the cards and separate fields, as I have done above. "5" is the Story points field and "5 hours" is the Original Estimates field.

Actually - to clarify... what's confusing is that this story does not have an original estimate. It just has story points - so why would it not show up?
I shared an example of another in sprint story and that one has the story points. There's nothing different between the 2 stories.

Ah, my mistake. I did some more experimenting and found the following:
Time will be shown in the bubble when Time Tracking is on and
The bubble is displaying Remaining Estimate, and gets an initial value based on the Original Estimate.
If there is not a non-zero Original Estimate than there is no Remaining Estimate to calculate. In that case it appears that Story Points will be shown in the bubble.
