Tracking progress on index recovery

O M January 11, 2024

I have selected one of the index files to be recovered.

Now Jira shows a screen, "Jira index is being recovered. Depending on how large the database is, this may take a few minutes. Jira will automatically become available as soon as this task is complete."

Is there a way to know how long it will take? No status bar during this recovery.

Hi @O M ,

unfortunately you can't do that through the UI. That information can be retrieved at log file level (atlassian-jira.log on the home folder) where there is the progress percentage .

Hope this helps,

Fabio

I am seeing these messages in atlassian-jira.log but I am not able to see a progress bar reading in them (looking for percent complete) , 0.100.212.13 616x259x1 oopeter33 [11/Jan/2024:10:16:59 -0600] "GET /secure/admin/jira/IndexProgress.jspa?taskId=14000 HTTP/1.1" 200 16242 314 "https://jiratest.app.playtime.com/secure/admin/IndexAdmin.jspa" "Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/120.0.0.0 Safari/537.36 Edg/120.0.0.0" "vwbp0d"
