Trying to delete Category field

Hi

I am trying to get rid of and delete the Category field on Jira Cloud.

It states Locked next to the field on the Settings > Custom fields page with a question mark and Unknown as the type

It would be ideal if this can be removed and the 5 contexts on it removed too - i cannot edit them either. It is OK if it is a native/default field if  anyone can confirm that this field will not be shown or available anywhere in the UI or the API.

Please advise?

Hi Yatish,

This is a system field used with Jira Work Management projects and you are not allowed to alter it or delete it.
