Universal Plugin Manager Plugin v. 5.1.2 incompatible with Jira Server v8.20.3

Istok Lenarčič January 20, 2022

Greetings.

I just upgraded Jira server in my test environment from version 8.14.0 to 8.20.3, and now I'm having trouble upgrading Universal Plugin Manager from version 5.0.3 to 5.1.2.

UPM version 5.1.2 was supposed to be supported on Jira Server 8.18.0 - 8.21.0 according to Atlassian Marketplace.

Am I missing something here? Can I somehow manually install UPM?

@Istok Lenarčič Welcome to the Atlassian community

Were you able to resolve this issue.  Did you try downloading the UPM and installing it manually?

I solved the issue with some help from support.

It turned out, downgrading JRE solved the issue(s). Mentioned version of Jira is bundled with JRE 11, I downloaded and installed JRE 8.

It might have something to do with the used distribution, we're running Jira on Oracle Linux 8 (RHEL8-like).
