Update Description field or import into single custom field for an existed issues.

Happy Friday all,

I have 1000 epics and i would like to update description with  different phone numbers to each issue but not manually, is there any automation i can do that? If it is not possible, i can have new text custom field and import it but remember the issues already existed in jira, i just need to update custom field data.

You could also write a script and hit the API for the update issue endpoint.
