Hey,
I already read a few articles, but didn't find anything which fits to my scenario.
I want to create an offboarding workflow. In the service request I have 2 custom fields, date and name.
now i want to set the summary to date - 'offboarding' - name.
I read, i could something with post functions but didn't figure out how.
I need one example to understand.
Who can help?
Hi @Salih Zengin,
Welcome to Atlassian Community!
Instead of using post function you use Automation and smart values to set the summary. The value for the summary would look something like this:
{{issue.date}} - offboarding - {{issue.reporter}}
But it is not the reporter. reporter is mostly someone from HR.
But i have a customize field called newjoiner.
Can I use also smart values with custom fields?

Yes, you can use any field as part of smart values. So for your field it would be {{issue.newjoiner}}

Hi @Salih Zengin ,
welcome to the Atlassian Community.
You can try to accomplish that with Jira Automation:
Does that help / sound like a good solution to you?
Cheers,
