Upgrade failed from 7.7.0 to 7.13.0

steveshourds January 28, 2019

Clicked on Download and started install,, clicked on Upgrade existing,,, then got an error that a file was open.. clicking continue and ignore multiple times,, had to quit.. now my jira installation is gone?

Jiradb in mysql is still there.

and I have JIRA-7.7.0-back.zip in C:\Program Files\Atlassian

I restarted atlassian-jira-core-7.13.0-x64.exe but it comes up a new install, not an upgrade? I completed the new install end now get.

Database: Missing Database Driver

What do I do to get Jira back up?

I ended up uninstalling 7.13 and clearing the jira folders, then un-zipping the two backup files that were created during the upgrade and restarted jira 7.7.

Hi Steven,

Check C:\Program Files\Atlassian\jira\lib\mysql-connector-java**.jar

If the file does not exist, download it from https://dev.mysql.com/downloads/connector/j/5.1.html

Make sure you're downloading the 5.1 version, not the 8.0 version of the connector.
