Hi there,

as we are still using Jira 8.22 and we are actually planning the upgrade to a more actual version I would like to know if it is possible to upgrade directly from 8.22 to 9.12? The documentation is not clear to me.

Thanks in advance

Tim

Hi Tim, based on this article: how-to-upgrade-jira-8-to-jira-9-with-minimal-downtime

I would say it shouldn't be an issue.

Hope that helps!

Hi @Tim Schüder  how are you? Could you easily migrate from 8 to 9?
I have to do it soon...thanks in advance for any advice.

Hi Marcel,

I just checked my Upgrade-Documentation. Besides the normal things to check like dbconfig.xml, server.xml and sometimes web.xml I cannot remember any severe problems. We upgraded from 8.22 to 9.12 (a the thread says) and ar now currently runnung 9.15.2 with no problems ( as I can say from a technical point of view)
