Hello! My team is interested in purchasing Jira Software Cloud (standard package), but we're trying to determine how many accounts we truly need. Some team members will need to enter information into Jira while others only need to view the information. Do team members that only need view-only access need Jira accounts? I.e. do we need to create a user profile and pay the monthly/annual fee for view-only access? Any feedback/suggestions are appreciated. Thank you!
Welcome to the community. For Jira Software Application, any user who needs access to the issue will need to have an actual Jira Software license. The ability for READ ONLY versus full rights are controlled via each project's permission scheme configuration designs (i.e. based on project roles assignment)
Hope this helps.
Best, Joseph Chung Yin

Hi @Mabel Claye
Welcome to the community.
Any user required to create , view or edit needs a license in Jira software.
Annual payment gives you a 2 month discount.m, so you pay 10 months for a yearly subscription

Thank you, Marc! Can we add/remove users with an annual subscription? If so, how will that reflect in billing?
