Hello,
We plan to integrate the text field data into the 2-D filter statistics dashboard, ensuring it is prominently displayed for easy access and insightful analysis.
However, we are unable to get this. We also tried using Linked Issues, but it had the same result.
Is there another effective method to extract the data?
Welcome to community!
It is currently not possible to use a text field for statistics in Jira. See https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRACLOUD-71641
I would recommend to see whether you can use labels field type for your use case.
Hey @Fazila Ashraf
We tried to that also, however it's not going to work.

Unfortunately text fields are not available for statistical reporting at this time :(

if you're open to solutions from the Atlassian Marketplace, you may want to have a look at the app that my team and I are working on: JXL for Jira.
JXL is a full-fledged spreadsheet/table view for your issues that allows viewing, inline-editing, sorting, and filtering by all your issue fields, much like you’d do in e.g. Excel or Google Sheets. It also comes with a long list of advanced features, including issue grouping by any issue field(s) - including text fields - and sum-ups.
With these, you can build views that are similar to the 2-dimensional statistics gadget in just a few clicks, like so:
I'm only grouping by one field here, but you can do nested grouping by as many fields as you want. Grouping and sum-ups also play nicely with JXL other advanced features, such as configurable issue hierarchies, conditional formatting, or inline bulk editing via copy/paste.
Any questions just let me know,
Best,
Hannes

Hi @Rinjini Poddar,
Welcome to the Atlassian Community!
As mentioned already by other people, the Jira gadgets do not support statistics based on text fields. A solution in this case would be to search on Atlassian Marketplace for a plugin that provides gadgets with support for text fields.
If you are willing to try a plugin, our Great Gadgets app offers a Pivot Table & Pivot Chart gadget that supports text fields. By using this gadget you will be able to create not only 2D statistics, but also multidimensional statistics in form of tables, heat-map tables or charts of various types based on issue count, sums, average, percentages etc.

Hi @Rinjini Poddar , welcome to the Atlassian Community and thanks for your question.
Please can you post an anonymised version of your dashboard? I don't understand from the description what you are trying to do.
I had a look in the community for other similar posts like this and some people have had success with this app, which is free, to add text to their dashboards but I'm not sure if you are already referring to this. https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1214632/rich-text-gadget-for-jira?hosting=cloud&tab=reviews
Best wishes
